Olive Oil Face Cream: Why the Simplest Ingredient Is Sometimes the Right One

There’s a reason olive oil has been in skincare for thousands of years — and it isn’t nostalgia. It’s chemistry. Olive oil is rich in squalene and fatty acids that your skin recognizes. It doesn’t fight your moisture barrier; it works alongside it. And in a face cream, it does one clear thing well: it keeps your skin comfortable.

I’m Olena, and our Olive Oil Face Cream is one of the simplest formulas we make. Not because simple is trendy — because for a daily moisturizer, you don’t need twelve active ingredients competing for space on your face.

Oil on damp skin — the step most people skip

Here’s the one thing that changes how a cream works: apply it on damp skin. Not dry. Not towel-dried. Damp.

A cream’s job is to seal in moisture. If there’s no moisture underneath, it’s sealing in nothing. So the routine is: cleanse, press your hydrosol into still-wet skin, then — while you’re still slightly damp — smooth on the cream. The hydrosol provides the water; the cream holds it there.

That’s why we make both hydrosols and creams. They’re designed to layer together, not live on separate shelves in separate routines.

What this cream does (and doesn’t promise)

It moisturizes. Your skin feels soft, comfortable, not greasy. It absorbs without leaving a film. It’s suitable for normal, dry, and combination skin.

What it doesn’t do: it won’t “reverse aging,” “erase wrinkles,” or “transform your skin in seven days.” We don’t make those promises because they aren’t honest. A good daily cream keeps your skin comfortable. That’s enough, and it’s real.

It’s $14.70 for 100 ml. A small amount covers your whole face, so it lasts longer than you’d think.

Your evening, simplified

If you’ve been building a routine from our hydrosols and cleansers, here’s the full picture in three steps:

  1. Cleanse — oil cleanser plus foam, or just foam on light days.
  2. Press your hydrosol into damp skin.
  3. Smooth the olive oil cream on top, while everything is still damp.
